Build Better Recall
A simple starter plan to help you build stronger recall foundations.
Good recall is about more than teaching your dog to respond to a word or whistle.
The cue matters, but so does everything around it: how rewarding you are to come back to, how engaged your dog is with you when you're out, and whether coming back has a history of being worth their while.
That's why this guide isn't just about what you say when you want your dog back. It's about building the foundations that make a reliable recall much more likely.
About me
I'm Averil, the trainer behind Charley's Angels Dog Training. I'm an ABTC registered Animal Training Instructor and a full member of PACT, and I use reward-based, practical training to help owners build calm, confident companions.
I love seeing dogs and their humans build their relationship through training, and my aim is always to make training feel achievable in everyday life, not just in a training session.
